  1. Did it accelerate through the interceptors? A speed change this close to impact sounds like a good idea to try to fool the defensive missile.

Or is that just the perspective?

  2. I think with those high altitude long range ones it is a different system with a much lower interception rate

The last few tiffs should have given them plenty of data to improve them id imagine

Iron dome is for short range intercepts of cheap slow-moving rockets, we’d be talking about the David’s Sling or Arrow 3 systems for ballistic missiles.

Also does anyone know if this is a new hit or a different angle of the one from earlier on the newsfeeds?

Interesting that the interceptors appear to turn into the missile.

The tone change from everyone after the shockwave hits and they all go to find cover. Videos really don’t do justice to how powerful some blasts can feel even at distance like this

They seem to initially cut the trajectory of the missile at a 90° angle and then turn to get into the presumed cone of disperion and go „up the flow“ to acquire the missile, way more efficient than a side-interception.

  7. Thanks again, mr Netanyahu, for the great services you have provided israeli citizens!

  8. What surprises me most about this video is the agility of these missiles. Didn’t expect them to such a turn. Did seem to lose crucial energy though.

Maybe if Israel didn’t attack first, up to 85 Iranian children wouldn’t be dead today.

  10. Ladies and gentlemen. The supreme leader is confirmed dead. The straight of Hormuz will be open for business on monday! How long did that take? 4-6 hours?

I think you shouldn’t be allowed to post/comment on any conflict related sub until you read Iron Dome’s wikipedia page.
