      I think that says it all, about the party and about who is controlling the country. And that doesn’t even guarantee the one republican would vote with the Dems.

      It was reported about a week ago that Congress was considering this. I even heard that there were some GOP members that also wanted to act. But, no, even though they all knew this was imminent, they sat on their hands and did nothing. They are playing politics with the lives of service members. F*ck them all.

      This administration’s tactic has been to ignore the law, wait for the courts to weigh in, and then ignore the rulings if they’re not favorable. And by the time it even gets to court it’s too late.

      At this point it doesn’t matter what congress does or says because we’re already at war now.

      Rubio looked very somber and stressed at the SOU. When Trump complimented him, he was almost despondent.

      Regardless of party, Congress asserting its war powers is literally how the system is designed to work. Military action shouldn’t bypass debate.

      Two possibilities:

      1. republicans vote in support of trump. trump merrily contues trumping.
      2. handful of republicans find their conscience. trump ignores the congress and merrily continues trumping.

      You can’t vote fascists out of power. Fascists don’t play the democracy game.

      Fuck Jared Moskowitz in particular on this issue. I liked him a lot (granted I’m not from NJ and don’t know a whole lot about him) but his actions here are batshit crazy.

      They demand it….from home. Can someone please tell me the last time anything has come from their demands? Republicans lower the bar everytime in office then dems come in and make sure it stays.
