As a Czech citizen i can tell you, that for cycling or walking peopele mainly use czech app mapy.com (which is very good), so Its completely possible that Google doesnt even care to compete

Bikes are very much allowed in Czechia. At Europython last summer in Prague we had an attendee who had biked there from Switzerland with his family.
In the Czeck wine country they arrange bike tours between wineries.
Unfortunately, separate bike lanes are rare.

Neither in Slovakia, according to this.

But apparently going from one landlocked country ~~to another~~ involves…taking a ferry? Edit: going from one landlocked country to a non-landlocked country while bypassing a landlocked country, my bad

Use komoot, way better. I used both on my European, 2000 km long bike trip, and Komoot did a way better job

The not ideal but general option for cycling is to switch the route to path by foot. I would be suprised if majority of countries have clear cycling paths and traveling the same paths as cars can get incredibly dangerous.

FYI [Mapy.com](http://Mapy.com) is much better for bike routes.

Or Slovakia it would seem as even that would be a relatively shorter route🤔😬
They’re aware, but no real explanation as to why. [https://support.google.com/maps/thread/388781289/bike-routing-in-czechia-not-availble?hl=en](https://support.google.com/maps/thread/388781289/bike-routing-in-czechia-not-availble?hl=en)
a [stackexchange.com](http://stackexchange.com) post suggests [mapy.com](http://mapy.com) , which does have bike directions there
