Hazel eyes can look like dark brown or bright green/blue, depending on the light conditions. I should know, I have eyes just like that. Unless you want to allege I’m actually somehow two people at once.

Upper bleph, and eyes can lose melanin with age. His hazel eyes look brown in younger pictures, and seem to get lighter green with age/better lighting; at least, his eyes look pretty green in the first pic that comes up for me when I google “Jim Carrey 2024.”

I’ve just checked several photos from the award night pics and in every one you can see the brown like in your before pic. Perhaps the one you’ve posted is from a bright flash, or maybe you got it from a source that manipulated his eyes to only show green. Shrug:
