Haven’t seen raccoons around, but in my area, there are foxes that go through town at night sometimes. It’s lovely to see, and I’ve, fortunately, never heard of anyone having run into issues with them.
There’s been an increase in raccoon sightings this week. Not sure why. Two in my village, one of them hiding in a tree

It happened to me to see one in Limpach as well. There are many around because they have no predators (this is what I was told)
Yes 🙂 in the Sûre valley, they come and go, last month I was smoking outside at night and one came from the wood onto my terrasse, came close to me sniffed something on the ground and the it just continued his business 🙂
Huge problem with racoons in certain areas. They are definitely not afraid to go to residential areas.
Last year we had a few racoons that would come almost every night and would enter through the cat flap to get to the food. Nothing we tried scared them off. We finally caught 2 in a trap and drove them to a forest. The others were a lot more cautious afterwards and stopped coming maybe a week later.
Kehlen area here: we see them alllll the time in our yard.
Next town over: the local OMG-kittens lady is feeding them. There are 4 houses between the open fields and that lady.
The evening stampede is impressive, but they got the message that we don’t feed them pretty fast.
