      It’s pretty telling that the ability to build more war equipment is diminishing, and now at an even faster rate…

      Short of a major situation, i’d say we’re within 24months of a complete collapse… sooner if Putin falls out of a basement window in his bunker..

      And remember, Russia’s WW1 ended when the revolution happened and the Tsar and his family were imprisoned and then murdered. Putin may have thought he was Stalin, but he’s more akin to Tsar Nicholas II.

      This is always how wars are won. If you can out produce the other country, you win. WW2 was won with USA production.

      I read somewhere that Germans were mezmoried that you could blow up a tank or jeep, and within an hour or so, they would either be fixed or a new one would show up. If this happened to German equipment, it would take months for a replacement from the factory. Even repairs sometimes required the vehicle to be shipped back to the factory.

      Sure Allied tanks were small and lacked the fire power of most German tanks, as Allied tanks had to be lifted and transported in a haul of a ship, but when you can have 5 tanks for every 1 German one, the allies win.

      At least 6 years away of any solution from Russian side. They make enough money with selling gas and oil. Everything else is a lie or dream.

      Also, completely out of T-80 tanks according to what I have read elsewhere.

      Even if you don’t buy the statistics from either side, there are a couple of interesting facts that shine some light on the Russians „Armor-geddon“.

      Early on, the US sent some 10,000 Javelins – the Ukrainians kill rate was over 94%! So right there you can surmise some 9,400 armored weapons systems (tanks, etc.) destroyed.

      The US has provided some 13,000 TOW missiles as well with similar results.

      As of early 2025, the United States and international partners have provided Ukraine with over **130,000 anti-armor systems** and munitions, including more than 10,000 Javelin systems and over 10,000 TOW missiles. These, alongside tens of thousands of shoulder-fired rockets (like AT4s) and grenade launchers, have been critical in countering armored vehicle attacks.

      Meanwhile, the Ukrainians have completely revolutionized warfare with their drone expertise.

      Russia is pretty much out of modern tanks and is deploying Chinese golf carts, horses, motorcycles and all sorts of desperate replacements which do not work.

      They’re trying to say there’s 2k tons in the gold reserves but I bet most of that is in China now in payment for the Assault Golf carts…🤣

      How exactly does gold selling work, here? Is the gold physically sent to whoever buys it? Or is it like the gold reserve in America where it stays in one spot and they just put a name tag on it saying this belongs to so-and-so?

      Russia can play war for a very long time with its billions in monthly gas/oil revenue plus the steady selling of its built up gold reserves.

      Yes, keep in mind that the lines were largely static, and pretty much never on German soil(a tiny bit at the very end in the South). That said, the allies were starting to make clear gains at the very end. This was less that they were winning, and more that Germany had nothing left.

      If you look at the front in say 1915, and the front at the very end. I’m not sure it move a full hour’s drive the entire war.

      Can you imagine if the „truce“ had be for Germany to keep what they had captured up to that point? This would basically be Belgium and a good chunk of France.

      With some fools saying, „Just do it to end the bloodshed.“
