I have no idea if there will or won’t be an election, but this is pretty normal stuff, and particularly in a minority.
The average life of a minority is historically short, and we’re already a year into this one. Nominating candidates *properly* takes time, and it’s good to get started early.

Can’t read the article but I really have to assume the LPC would really not love the optics of having a costly election just to gain or lose a seat. That does not sound like pragmatic or sound fiscal strategy at all.
Let’s just do the thing for the 3 years or whatever and we can have a real nice juicy one it will be a lot of fun I’m sure
