To put this in perspective, this is the equivelant to 10 years worth of salary in Russia. It would be like if the USA was paying $250K to fast food workers, janitors, Uber drivers, cashiers, etc., to go enlist in a foreign war. The problem then becomes what happens to all the low-wage jobs that now have a lack of workers? When you have a shortage of regular workers, costs go up because they need to pay them more to attract employees. It’s a vicious cycle for labour markets.
