The law he’s talking about concerns **social** transitions, not anything medical.
It would require schools notify parents if a student wants to be called a different name, different pronouns etc. An analogous law would be forcing teachers to tell parents if their child has come out as gay.
And the sub headline in the linked article is misleading. It states: „ban on schools socially transitioning minors“
Schools don’t „transition“ students. Students tell the school they want to use a different name/pronouns etc.

Teacher asks her to go to counselor – counselor states that it was her ideology and she and may use the boys bathroom
