We should try to subvert their work, after all, you cannot have national and civilizational pride while dancing to the tune of an outside party that is also looking down on you.
With all due respect, it were the progressives that mainly backed the migration policy we adopted in 2015 and that directly lead to European right wing to surge.
I don’t think I want them to do a lot anymore considering most what they have touched hasn’t really worked out in our favour, like AT ALL.

i remember talking to some leftists about this before and the responses worried me even as somebody who is centre right. They’re playing tictactoe while their opponents are playing chess.

Well its hard for two reasons. 1) RW has lots of money 2) RW barrage media space with most outlandish claims that you just dont have time/means to explain to ppl they are lying. I mean entire UK is US-ified. You check their politics and their tv and media are full of US rw moronic rhetoric. And next country that will fail under US-ification is Germany.
A lot of right aligned people in europe were also very „anti american imperialism“.

Each one of „us“ leftist has completely different visions and opinions in mind. If there is a pattern then no, people are not becoming more right leaning, they are becoming more polarized and enraged. Plus, progressive means something different in basically every country, as it should be. I don’t care if people are „left leaning“, whatever it means in your country, I just want them to be somewhat reasonable.
There’s no issue with right wing politics in Europe, we actually should have them for the sake of balanced decision making. The issue is when so called ring wingers like Orbán, Fico or others using being right wing as a disguise for being a Russian or Chinese mouthpiece. Hence the reason why it’s hard taking them seriously if you have a bit of common sense.
What progressives man? Our leaders are already in bed with the right wing think tanks. Just look at our leaders, they all either were CEOs or worked for companies. There’s no progressive movement in Europe, even the „social democrats“ in Europe are nothing but austerity hawks trying to privatize everything so when they’re out of office they can work for one of the companies that benefited from privatization.
You can start by appealing to the average working class people, instead of fringe groups and immigrants.
The US kind of fed Europe a poisoned cultural pill of 15 years of increasingly unhinged woke stuff only to turn hard in a completely and way more mental opposite direction.
Well unfortunately Europe has been too deep into America’s trap and their propaganda is working quite well. The autocratisation of Europe, like what happened in the US, seems almost inevitable to this point. The amount of comments blaming immigration rather than global far-right propaganda networks have already proven the point.
I have some friends who I think have radicalized and are doing the bidding of right-wing propagandists through discord and Telegramm Channels. They are filling the internet with slop memes and winning the hearts and minds of the kids with specious arguments. I think most people dont even realize what is happening as it is all happening in the digital space. The only ones who can really track it are the owners of the large tech companies, and Europe has not been able to force them to provide access to their content algos and networks.
Tax the billionaires out of existence.
Europe democracies will fall one by one if they don’t cut off foreign propaganda.

The year is 2026. Europe has had ample warnings about Russia. It’s 10 years after they helped Brexit, 12 years since they helped Trump, and 4 years after the full scale invasion of Ukraine. 1 year ago, they helped regain America for Trump. They are a major propaganda threat. Yet Russia can still act with impunity and flood European cyberspace with propaganda.
Wtf. Why does Europe have to allow this bad actor to directly attack their democracies?
Dying horse kicks the hardest. The age of neoliberalism is coming to an end, as it failed to deliver over the past 40 years we had to live with it.
Still, not even a dying horse should be underestimated. We need more public investments, more efficient but not smaller government, and, as always, tax the rich.
The left is killing itself. The loud far left progressive lunatics are drowning out the opinions of normal rational people.

Fight back what? Most right wing voters read some Russian propaganda online, or just made-up statements by right wing politicians and believe it like it’s the gospel. It’s impossible to fight back.
Europe’s progressives only care about Palestine. Their minds are just as easily swayed by Russian and Chinese propaganda as MAGA:s. The ends of the horseshoe are lost, we need to gather in the middle and stop caring about what tankies or nazis want.
I’d rather there be a new party on that doesn’t bend for either one of those damn parties
