Meduza is „the world’s largest independent Russian news outlet“. Emphasis on *independent*. In practice they state that „only“ 27,000 Russians per month are not going back to the front due to death or wounds.

That seems unlikely to me given current loss trends, but 40k soon? Sure. Current is more than 30k as long as we are including seriously injured in this.
Ukraine averages 1,000/day, so they’d have to get that to around 1,5000/day.
If they pull it off, great, but that’s a huge jump.
But the fact that you never take into disease or the Russians killing Russians from friendly fire or the commanders killing them or just people freezing to death, I’m sure the number is quite higher than 50,000 already.
Trust Ukraine and give them more weapons and equipment. Slava Ukraini!
