Japan needs to relax its labor laws if they want to become prosperous like America
While I agree, there is deep irony in the way that Japan treats foreign workers
The only thing foreign companies will learn from this is not to hire employees in Japan beyond the bare minimum required. Making layoffs impossible means also making hiring too risky.
Had one of their recruiters chasing me for weeks about a role in the Tokyo office. Actual job felt sus AF and they were even trying to sell me on how close the boss was to Elon in the org chart. That struck me as a net negative then and it was before he went off the deepend.
The same way as what Japanese black companies did with foreign workers too.
By phrasing it that way, does he mean it is acceptable for Japanese companies to do this?
