I can also fight the Ukrainian War throughout 2026…. Oh wait, is this supposed to be non-sarcastic?
Neither me, or Russia can fight Ukraine throughout 2026…

That they can keep fighting isn’t surprising. Wars only end when one of the parties involved says uncle, and that’s a political question as much as a material one. And Russia’s politics is, yknow, not.
What would surprise me, though, is if they gain any major ground. The frontline has been effectively a stalemate for two+ years and there’s little reason to believe that will change soon. Ukraine’s will to resist is not dented, and for all the talk of manpower problems, the prevalence of drones (plus intelligence support from western powers) has made the battlefield very favorable to the defender.

If the US didn’t have a Russian asset running the country this shit would have been done a long time ago.

In other words, the meat grinder should not stop throughout 2026. Got it

Russia could be on the brink of collapse but will pretend and lie that everything is going to plan until the very end, and then, all of the sudden, you get get Swan Lake on the television. They have no plan for failure, it’s all or nothing. That’s why they own the escalation ladder. Their policy is built on lies, their people accept this. The west is accountable to their people and can’t bullshit them as easily.

They can keep fighting through 2040, It is time to get something resolved.

Ha! I’d go so far to say, they HAVE to fight on, cause if they stop its over. Their whole economy runs on bombshells and tanks now. I hope they stop though and I hope they will finally be forced to feel the consequences of their actions while Ukraine will bloom.

This is a poor argument we have long heard. No one can win with air power alone. Drones and cruise missiles don’t win wars. Just a paper tiger to give an excuse to spend money on guns rather than problems. We should be able to do two things at once, but can’t.

Well, yeah. Russia can keep fighting until Putin himself finally takes a stumble out a window, and likely for long after in some of the occupied regions.
Whether they can keep fighting shouldn’t be in question, but rather how effectively. They have just recently passed the threshold where they are taking more casualties (dead & wounded) than they are able to reinforce with fresh „recruits“.
The front lines have also ground to another near complete stalemate.

Russia is large, Ukraine is small. The fact the war is still ongoing shows Russia can’t win, but they can caus3 massive damage. They have killed hundreds of thousands of innocents, destroyed multiple cities, massiv3 infrastructure, and still have no chance of victory in sight. They have bled through their reserves of Armour and are using ancient artillery. They have lost billions in planes and have had to hide and limit usage of what they have left. Air defense is shown to be completely useless to cover their large country and is being hammered almost daily.
Troop deaths are over 30k a month. They are finally starting to see shortages in recruiting, if you can believe the press.
Russia will collapse quickly, just like the CCCP. We wonknow it is over until it already happens, hopefully soon.
