Glad they’re looking to do something. Sending fuel would be the most helpful but I’m guessing it will be general humanitarian supplies/aid

The grimly ironic part is that this kind of US policy will hasten the use of renewable energy, especially solar, in developing countries, as their leaders realize the existential threat of being dependent on fuel imports for basic societal functioning.

Canada has to walk a fine line. Its good to help people in the short term, and the U.S. is definitely being a jerk, but let’s not forget that the Cuban dictatorship bears the vast majority of the responsibility for failing their people. Canada can’t fix that.
