      GDP per Capita Japan: 33.000€
      GDP per Capita Poland: 23.000€

      This GDP PPP is based on 2026 salaries and 2021 prices.

      Since 2021, prices in Poland have doubled, so this is not a good measurement method.
      Poland is more expensive than Japan, with lower salaries.

      Yet Poles unlike Japanese are not the beneficiaries of their GDP.

      Japan has a huge population and many global corporations essential for the current world.

      Poland has what? What do we have? Concrete houses overpriced to the moon?

      The only thing we have in common with Japan is the fact that we are quite likely to repeat their lost decade – however us unlike Japan won’t have even corporations from the time of our economic growth.

      If you really want compare prices poland to japan do it.

      In Japan food and electronics are dirty cheap, in poland they are more expensive than in western europe.

      Check out our wages as % of polish GDP. Unfortunately we are behind all the countries that are placed around Poland in this ranking what means that more % of polish GDP go to companies as their profits and less to workers as our compensation. So still Spanish or Japanese workers get more than we do.
