      I recall the western states were early on this bc they needed a certain number of voters to achieve statehood, and including women helped get them to the necessary voting population.

      Just a reminder to people that this map only conveys voting suffrage by the 19th amendment, and not other aspects of suffrage, like independent property ownership.
