**Peggy Lindemann shared a post alleging that Jews drink children’s blood**

Brandenburg AfD local politician Peggy Lindemann shared an anti-Semitic post on Instagram about the Epstein files, defending Adolf Hitler.

Peggy Lindemann, city councillor in Schwedt and member of the Uckermark district council, shared a video in her story with the caption: „A painter from Austria claimed in his ‚propaganda‘ that elite Jews drink the blood of our children. Do you still believe today that he was the bad guy?“ Instead of the word „Jews,“ the post features a juice box – a code word for Jews, because „juice“ is pronounced the same as „Jews.“

But the author, whom Lindemann reposted, makes no secret of her anti-Semitism. Underneath the rhetorical question, she shows a caricature of hook-nosed Jews from the Nazi propaganda newspaper „Der Stürmer“ with the slogan: „The Jews are our misfortune.“

Peggy Lindemann shared the anti-Semitic post along with other content related to the Epstein files, as Felix Teichner, district chairman of the AfD in the Uckermark, explained. „She made a whole series of reposts about the Epstein files, and that was just one of them,“ Teichner told the Tagesspiegel newspaper. The post was „an oversight.“

Jeffrey Epstein, who was Jewish, abused countless underage women. Since the investigation files were published, numerous anti-Semitic conspiracy myths have been circulating, including one that claims Epstein also ate babies.

Peggy Lindemann has since deleted her post. According to Teichner, she distanced herself from the content after a conversation. Nevertheless, there are political demands for consequences.

Brandenburg’s anti-Semitism commissioner Andreas Büttner is calling for Lindemann’s resignation: „Even though Peggy Lindemann has since deleted the repost, it is completely unacceptable. Ms Lindemann must resign and relinquish her mandate in the Schwedt municipal council,“ he told the Tagesspiegel newspaper.

Büttner had made the post public and published a screenshot after it had been removed.

In Austria we are calling it „Einzelfall“ when some FPÖ politician is doing it. Those „Einzelfälle“ tend to happen quite frequently.
