Genuinely would hate to be a teenager these days, social media is terrible.
I feel bad for girls who talk in comms on video games. So much hate just from hearing a woman speak.
I saw an interview recently with Kristin Kreuk (Lana Lang from Smallville) and she said when she was 15-17 was when men would say the most vile things to her.
God, kids are assholes.

And people wonder why some countries want to impose a social media ban for kids.
Instagram and Facebook have both become cesspools
Is there some kind of vigilante that is out there screen shotting the stuff these men say and sending it to their mothers or wives? Not that they are likely to have wives but you know what I mean surely these people are overdue a slap behind the ear from their mothers?
This is funny because those are the same guys who then turn around and wonder why they can’t get a girlfriend.
Unfortunately, teenage boys don’t grow out of this.

A: Think „That’s a pity. I’m sure she does better next time.“
B: Search her up online, and write angry hate mail and death threats to her.
It seems quite a few chose option B.

Start holding men accountable rather than blaming women–girls, even–for having the „audacity“ to exist in a shared space.
Firstly if this really was written by a 15 year old then she’s got a bright future ahead of her, excellently written journalism which hacks with decades of experience could learn massively from. My hat is tipped.
Secondly it’s a sad fact that many men seemingly act like this. Wife gets all kinds of wierdos messaging or commenting on her Instagram. I’ve said she should make it private, she says she’s not bothered. I’ve said we should sell them used underwear – she doesn’t have to do anything, I’d gladly wear ladies pants and then flog them to these losers after a heavy day of farting in them. Could pay for a holiday.
This is genuinely awful…also, chronically online is self-sabotage. Dead internet isn’t a theory. I have no doubt half those were professional provocateurs, bots, or international.
I always think of Tyler the Creator’s cyberbullying tweet when I see stuff like this. Get off the platforms that let maladjusted degenerate freaks type out their worst impulses.
The solutions are either a draconian moderation system with real world legal consequences or a complete rewrite of world culture. Not gonna happen. The only winning move is not to play.

Reddit is my last one and it’s close to being deleted as well. I love not having facebook, it just felt like having a christmas tree with lots of ornaments I never did anything with. Not to mention all the AI slop and Nazi propaganda.
Boys who think and talk like that have nothing inside, they have no relationships with mothers, grandmother’s, aunts, sisters friends or lovers. They dont know love or intimacy and basically have life without the richness of experience. I feel bad for you having to deal with this level of disgusting immaturity and yes misogyny and also I feel badly for these boys. The alienation and isolation and fragility of the male identity is a very real problem and probably at the core of this engine going in reverse. We need strong and chivalrous men. Men who love their Moms and respect their Fathers. Men who have a clear and clean sense of who they are without the blame game. Men who look inside for solutions instead of blaming the outside. And we need women to be valued and respected and to value and respect themselves. And all of us need to learn to integrate our shadows so we may carry them with grace. If I like Joni but Joni likes Chatchy and Joni hooks up with Chatchy instead of lashing out at Joni – I need to integrate the jealousy and use it to grow. Its one thing if jealousy is in the car with me – and quite another if I let it take the wheel.
I do find this article a bit convenient given Europe and UK wanting to add strict social media laws.
Also, is anyone even remotely surprised by this article?
