Reign of terror is true for many people. Also, reign of absurdity, reign of shame, reign of disgust, reign of realizing our MAGA in-laws have bad judgement, reign of corruption, reign of dumbass, reign of realizing that corruption relies on handshakes on the golf course and the island, at the club, the reign of remembering that democracy is dynamic and needs to be actively participated in, the reign of rapists, and cabals, the reign of people fucking tired of this two tiered justice system. The reign of American exceptionalism turned upside down.

Plotting? California democrats don’t need to plot to easily win the vote here. Despite having the most republicans of any state. It isn’t really that Machiavellian.

That’s right, show a picture of Pelosi to inspire confidence in all of those old enough to have witnessed her destruction of the Democrat party in Congress and the White House.

  4. California democrats are part of the problem. They’ve had a supermajority for nearly two decades, yet they’ve done nothing with it to help average people. Instead, they defend the status quo and give handout after handout to silicon valley and hollywood. They do not even have to deal with republican obstructionism. They. Can. Literally. Do. Whatever. They. Want.

Where’s the healthcare? Where are the policies to address inequality? Where are the environmental protections? Where is the affordable housing? Beyond a few handouts to community college students to ensure their corporate donors have a steady supply of obedient labor, they have done nothing. I fucking hate california democrats. This state is in serious need of an actual leftwing party.

Do Americans really believe that a Democrat victory in 2028 is all it takes for their country to morph into a functional Democracy ?

At this point it just feels like we’re stuck in an endless back-and-forth. Every election is framed like the fate of the world depends on it, and regular people are just trying to live their lives in the middle of it all.

Is their plan do everything MAGA does but more politely so „moderates“ flock back to the Dems?

  8. Yes, California democrats are exactly what we need after losing with a California democrat.

We’re definitely feeling the California Love with the two-pack of Kamala Hell-yes and G-Thang Newsom dominating the primary polls.

Pelosi existing in gov at this point in time makes this less likely.

  11. If the DNC get its way, we would have a corporate democrat as POTUS and the following election would usher in a complete takeover by fascist. If the DNC doesn’t want that to happen, they need to embrace the left wing of their party and shift to the center-left. Not the center-right or more right, but fucking center-left that matches what the rest of the world considers left.

The real test is if the democrats will continue the Epstein files cover up and refuse to prosecute those involved. Clinton, Obama and Biden did nothing about it and one is very likely involved. Otherwise they’re no better than the republicans that did like Busch and Trump. It’s not D vs R but Elites vs the American people.

    >‘Trump’s reign of terror must end’

    **YES!**

    >California Democrats plot…

    crap

Maybe California Democrats should fix the disaster that beautiful state has become and not worry so much about a man who beats them every time.

  15. It was literally ours to lose with the election and the party f*cked it all up somehow.

Not sure we ever have a chance at comeback if this administration steals elections and calls martial law

  16. I’m just a dumb Canadian, so take my opinions with a grain of salt, but institutional Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer only seem more appealing than their Republican counterparts because of how atrocious the GOP have shown themselves to be. That doesn’t seem like much of a platform or rallying cry. „Vote for us because we’re better than bad!“

Until politicians on both sides truly start serving the people they are supposed to serve, instead of just „defeating the bad guys“ and scoring sound bytes over „the other side“, things will remain broken. Things in the U.S. are such a mess right now because right has been pitted against left while those in power on both sides have profited, exploited, and perpetuated suffering. Money has bastardized and corrupted the country to where it is no longer recognizable as a democracy. Money has made an absolute farce of nearly every system and social contract and societal norm imaginable. Both parties are responsible for this.

People need hope and inspiration, not more petty partisan dung-flinging and zingers. People need leaders to stop campaigning on how bad the other side is and give people good reason to dream of a better future. These „leaders“ need to stop being such a feckless pile of Neville Chamberlins and take accountability for being a part of the status quo people are so hostile towards and sick of.

  17. California Democrats better watch the fuck out we don’t lose the governorship. With only two republicans and seemingly four hundred democrats running we could be shut out of the general election in November.

    >Adam Schiff, the California senator and a longtime Trump antagonist, invoked the grizzly bear on the state flag as a warning to the current administration: “When you poke the bear, the bear rips your fucking head off.”

    California is angry.

Ending Trump’s reign of terror starts with Democrats cleaning senior leadership out of their own party. The party of Pelosi, Schumer, Jeffries, Clark, Aguilar and Lieu. The Democrats need someone other than East or West coast “elites” guiding the party, setting policy and directing strategy. They have lost touch with blue collar working class union workers, young voters, and minorities. This isn’t opinion, it was proven in 2024.

I think the main Democratic strategy for 2026 is to let Trump keep destroying the country instead of putting together a platform of policies that help Americans making the median income or less. That isn’t good enough. Democrats have a chance for actual change, I hope they don’t squander this by banking on Trump screwing up while enjoying the status quo

  20. Anteater-2legit on

Dems you need to take care of that in November and this time make sure it happens

  21. So the California Democrats have made a deal with Aliens to take Trump to their planet.

  22. Ok-disaster2022 on

But nobody in the country likes Californian Democrats except Californians. Like you’re not going to get people from the Midwest or South elites
