Almost, the billionaire class would actually have to be accountable for this to be true.

Astonishing that actual royalty is being held accountable in countries where the US is unable to hold a billionaire accountable for crimes.

US billionaires have more in common with the Russian oligarchs than European royalty.

They are the present day Orcs in our society….just with nicer clothing.

  4. We need to start calling billionaires, The Epstein class. We can’t let mainstream media treat the Epstein files as just another news story that cycles out with the next distracting horrible shit Trump is going to do. When you comment around the internet or talk about billionaires, „The Epstein class“ make sure it remains in public conscious

This is the ultimate result of a system where people and companies can buy power. The system of accountability ultimately ends up in the hands of the highest bidder.

    – predator class
    – exploitation class

There are better names for them.

Nah, European royals are decorative at most. They have no real power in most countries and are by no means untouchable.

It’s honestly worse than traditional royalty tbh. at least royals have some historical expectation of public duty or noblesse oblige. our billionaire class just hoards wealth, dodges taxes, and buys politicians to ensure they never face a single consequence for their crimes. the two-tiered justice system is working exactly as designed.

The contrast is genuinely sickening right now. the uk literally just arrested a member of their actual royal family over the epstein files, but over here the billionaire class and the politicians who flew on those planes remain completely untouchable. our „royalty“ doesn’t wear crowns, they just fund super pacs so the justice department permanently looks the other way.

the only real difference between european royalty and american billionaires is that when our royalty gets caught participating in an international sex trafficking ring, congress just rewards them with another massive corporate tax cut and lets them buy a social media platform.

  11. Meh. Same as it ever was.

The wealthy families of America going back to the Founding Fathers have always ruled like royalty. It’s just under the guise of capitalism and that these families worked hard or protected their reputations to earn it.

I got penalized by the police when I was 17 by breaking curfew. As far as I can, I have faced stiffer penalties than Elon Musk and he knowingly broke election laws in Georgia. At least take his license away for 6 months so I can make sense of this Alice In Wonderland I live in.

Those are the elites that MAGA claims to hate that were on stage with Trump for his inauguration.

  14. This is ABSOLUTELY it. There are different levels to all societies.

In Europe and older places they actually call them things like “nobility” “aristocrats” etc. England is still pretty comfortable with their pretty formal class definitions. In other places they chopped some heads and things at least look more egalitarian.

In the US we pretend like we are a meritocracy but we have the biggest layer cake of classes ever. The 1% live in an entirely different world than we do. They don’t have to deal with crowded airports, potholes, seeing a good doctor, dealing with getting their kids a decent education, etc. money solves it all easily.

The solution is also much easier in the US, since stupid stuff like titles don’t exist. We could just do something about the money and in a decade or two the pinnacle of our country would perhaps understand and help solve some of the unnecessary problems we deal with every day.

  15. The Epstein class is corrupt… absolute power corrupts absolutely. Tax them and make america a better place to live for all its citizens!

Congratulations to the US for realizing they live in a feudal state, not a democracy. What a shame it took them 250 years to figure it out

Most royal families have decency and care depot about their country. Both cannot be said about the Epstein class
