      I know you like drama and hate on Russians, but its just a Quinquagesima or „forgiving sunday“ , when people ask forgiveness for anything. So not a big deal and has nothing to do with cancer.

      Wow, this is the kind of news which makes me say “Go CANCER! Fuck yeah!”

      Cancer invading a human cancer is fine. It’s self contained.

      Context: today is a Russian Holiday called something like „Sunday of Forgiveness“, where everyone goes around saying „forgive me for everything“ and stuff like that.

      It generally has no meaning and is taken very lightly.

      You just say that because it’s a tradition, people answer „oh yeah sure, I totally forgive you for everything, not that I near any ill will“, and nothing changes.

      This is a very unimportant holiday btw, it’s not a day off or anything.

      I am sure the forgiveness she asks for is for forgiveness from russians, not Ukrainians.
