It could be a memorial stone erected at the site of an accident.
The inscription translates to „Here two good comrades parted ways
It commemorates a Forstwart (forest warden) and a Hausmeister, from what I can make out (steward).
Maybe an accident happened but anyway, someone died.
I’ll be damned, is this the origin of “trafen sich zwei jäger, beide tot.”?
So u found a tombstone, can u please tell me whats so special about it?
