  3. GDP is bullshit. Most of the „GDP“ of NY is everything you and I pay using our Visa cards in Poland and rest of Europe.

    You can also put tiny London and Alaska side by side and London will have 10x the GDP.

    Financial centers have a lot of economic activity and the size is irrelevant.

    I like this kind of map. Both territories have the same GDP, but the one with a smaller population has worse quality of life, lower safety, and higher poverty. Even as a non-white person, I would choose to live in Poland.
