    1. Meanwhile, OpenAI is in a superpac that aggressively lobbies against any and all legislation.

      Pisses me off.

These are the same people who started their AI orgs to „help humanity“.

    2. Aka now that I’m one of the top companies please regulate the competition so I win.

The truth we don’t want to admit is that nobody has the answer at the moment. Government doesn’t know how to approach AI. Private companies have to drive shareholder value. Lots of regular folks just think whatever social media tells them to think. We are in the wild west.

Apos aceitar petrodollar, apos ajudar capturar maduro o senhor da ética agora quer que regulamente a IA GRATUITA das pessoas.

Tem que ser muito americano para acreditar em uma unica palavra vinda de americanos

I never thought I would see the day where I would agree with Amodei. These are incredibily evil people and they shouldnt be in charge of anything, let alone a multi billion $ company

    6. Technology is merely a tool and any blame always rests squarely on those wielding that tool.

With all due respect, Dario Amodei is a speculative tall-tale-weaver who takes every advantage of people not knowing how his tech works to spin stories and wind up the average person. He is the circa-2017-era Elon Musk of AI. The press needs to stop parroting his words uncritically.

    8. They know that if they are in charge when the thing goes sideways they won’t be able to blame it on regulation or the government

Anthropic (on the surface at least) seems to have more sane leadership than OpenAI. And my personal experiences with Claude have generally been much better than ChatGPT.

Burn the AI data centers and let’s go back to the right path, where the stupid people had to learn something to stop being stupid.

Burn the AI data centers and let’s go back to the path where people could afford to buy a personal computer and money was invested in multiple industries and not into 3 fuckheads feeding their ego.

Truth is this current administration doesn’t have the mental capacity to regulate AI. And everyone at the moment is terrified of China taking the lead since their only weeks behind.

They genuinely do want regulation is the fucked up thing, but they are literally legally obligated to lobby for less legislation as for-profit companies. I mean literally they will get sued and deposed by investors. Corporations aren’t just greedy, they are legally obligated to fuck you over. Even if CEOs try to change things they will be attacked and neutralized. This society is fucking barbaric.

Our government is made of geriatric fucking liverspotted corpses who understand nothing about tech. But yall keep voting them in.

Enjoy the future you have secured yourselves. Your kids will suffer, their kids will suffer. Humanity is fucked at this point. Its too late to recover. You are all marching toward dystopian hell and none of you see it.

Humanity deserves everything coming for the choices they made. They had a chance to reel in billionaires. To pass regulatory laws on Ai. To transition to renewable fuels. At every choice humanity has opted for the worse possible choice.

No sympathy for the future people have carved for themselves.

I expect to hear a lot more of this arse covering before this is all over.

And eventually we will get „well it’s not our fault, nobody regulated us“

    15. Who should be the masters of the tools that will bring about an economic upheaval that will make goods and services abundant?

Man I fucking hate this guy. He’s not “uncomfortable”. He’s been on a media tour talking about how his technology is going to eliminate all white collar work, all with his stupid doofy ass grin on his face.

You know what you *wouldnt* do if you actually cared? You wouldn’t announce to all CEOs that they can stop hiring and will eventually be able to lay off half their staff. You would point this tech at humanity saving things exclusively like medicine. Rather than releasing product after product that only benefits CEOs and shareholders.

The ONLY products these people produce are products that will lead to headcount reduction at companies.

I’m so sick of these fucking clowns. They do not give a shit about the middle class. As long as they get to pretend they are living in a Star Trek episode.
