Ich habe Monate damit verbracht, das Sternbild Orion zu fotografieren, um dieses 320-Megapixel-Foto zu erstellen, das alle verborgenen Nebel enthüllt. Zoomen Sie hinein, um die Details zu sehen! [OC]

This was captured not with a telescope as you might think, but with a 135mm camera lens. This 12-panel mosaic was assembled from thousands of individual photos spanning dozens of hours of cumulative exposure over a period of 4 months. The goal was to show the entire constellation (or most of it) while still being deep enough to show the volumes of dust in this part of the sky, as this area is notoriously filled with nebulae. Since it’s a mosaic, the resolution is insanely good, and you can zoom in to find many familiar shapes in the dust as popular astronomy targets.

I like to think of this project as „Google Earth“ for Orion 🙂

  2. The image in the post is really low resolution and you suggested zooming, can you share a link to a better resolution? I don’t think it’s the resolution you expected to be attached. It’s really pretty
