And give us our freaking $10 BILLION dollars back for your stupid „Bored of Peace“!

Ensuring that Trump can’t touch the slush fund should be lawsuit #1.

    3. „Americans“ aren’t getting any refunds.

How this will go is the corporations that lobby (i.e. bribe) Trump most effectively will get the overwhelming majority of the tariff refunds, all the while not dropping prices a single penny. They will reap the profits of a consumer-funded tariff windfall and higher profit margins from the increased tariff prices that they passed on to us consumers.

As usual, the rich win and get richer while everyone else pays for it.

Reminder that Republicans in Congress are letting this happen, and could stop it whenever if they wanted to.

Yeah, Trump always keeps the lawyers busy. He’s been doing that his whole life.

Meanwhile, dumbass MAGA still arguing for more tariffs. Why do Republicans hate their fellow Americans and want them to suffer financially?

Consumers are owed an untold amount of money as a refund. A half a billion dollars would not even begin to address the hollowing out the middle class has received in the last year

Just claim it on your business income tax form as taxes already paid. The White House in official filings with the Courts throughout this whole process said they would not claim an inability to refund the tariffs and also said they would be required to include interest on the money paid. The principle of judicial estoppel means they cannot back out of that claim now. Isn’t the annual interest rate with respect to taxes 18% or something like that?

    9. Where exactly would this money even come from? Tax refunds or payments? The government doesn’t have any money. We would basically be robbing ourselves even more. That money is gone to CEOs, Corporations, and billionaires. And I’m sure they’ll pony up more taxes in the interest of fairness.

    10. The only people getting any theoretical refunds will be big corporations. Even then it is unlikely they will see any

Meanwhile corporations will raise prices even more to get that refund money

    12. Wait a minute, why would Americans be owed refunds if it’s the foreign nations that are paying those tariffs? 👀

    13. I agree with the principal, but how on earth would you even figure how much everyone is owed? The tarrifs are ultimately a consumption tax or flat tax and short of itemized receipts, there’s literally no way to tell how much someone individually paid in tarrifs.

Sure they could force refund checks, but I’m sure for many that’s hardly a refund.

    14. Oregón Legal Exposure Model: SB619 x Prompt Volume
      Assumptions
If even 0.1% of 330M daily U.S. prompts involve:
      • Retained temporary chat data without valid opt-in
      • Misleading user expectations around memory or consent
      • Pattern reuse that mirrors training behavior (even if technically outside fine-tuning)
      Then:
      330,000 daily potential violations x $7,500 each = $2.475 billion/day in statutory
      exposure
      Over one month (30 days):
$74.25 billion potential liability in Oregon alone, if replicated or expanded through coordinated AG enforcement (e.g. CA, CO, CT, VA, WA, EU equivalents).

    15. If it happens it’ll only be for business owners just like the pandemic loans. Peasants get nothing

American Tax payers! Not corporations! They have already been compensated!

    17. More scandals and corruption to distract the mainstream news cycle of Epstein and all of the complicit pedophiles in this administration.

How much will this cost tax payers to sue the govt? Infinite money glitch?

Here we go. Businesses who increased prices and never suffered from tariffs are going to get a check from our money. We are getting charged twice for them and businesses are getting paid a second time…. Feels like that was the plan all along.

Trump had nothing to do with the Vietnam war. He is so jealous of the Lincoln Memorial, which is sort of a civil war monument, for the union. Why doesn’t he dedicate his arch to all the brave soldier who died in the war on Christmas, they can make it out of gold tinsel and the decorative trim from Home Depot that he’s pasted up all around the Oval Office. Make it look really big and official and flashy, but all shoddy and empty inside, like Trump himself, and then we can quietly sweep it off the mall along with all other garbage left behind from the next riot he starts when he’s removed from office for good .

The damage goes beyond the cost of the tariffs themselves. I smell a class action to include interest, attorney fees, time, and emotional damage from financial stress
