    1. Our local CBS station (in Texas) airs the National Anthem each day at 4:30am.

Man, didn’t realize we were competing with North Korea to see who was crazier

    3. Someone needs to make a movie where a time traveler scoops up the Founding Fathers and brings them to the future: America’s 250th anniversary, all for them to discover some King George III wannabe is President and he’s speedrunning all of the grievances in the Declaration of Independence

    4. We need J.J Abrams to do a reboot of the national anthem, South Park was right. /s

He can do it at 3am when the networks go off the air, like in olden times

That stupid fucking ICE ad is on the airwaves every day, 100 times a day already. So clearly the pledge and anthem aren’t as big a priority.

Like a perpetual “YouTube fireplace log” or something?

I’m sure that exists out there but I don’t want to f up my algorithm finding it.

What he really wants is it to be broadcast at the same time every day and your “smart tv” filming you watching it, if you’re out of compliance they have a nice warehouse in Texas they’ve been creating just for you.

I haven’t said the Pledge of Allegiance since high school, which was 20 years ago, so there’s no reason for me to start again

If he wants people to be proud of the country, maybe he should stop trying to suppress our first amendment rights.

    10. Okay? And remind people just how far this current regime as strayed from the values of this country?

How deranged do you have to be to think this will somehow reprogram peoples behavior?

The end if the Pledge of Allegiance is one of the things that “radicalized” me. Having to say “with Liberty and Justice for all” everyday kind of made an impact. This current administration apparently missed that part.

And huge posters with Trump’s glowering visage on every building, fence, and wall in America!

    14. In the end, all radio cares about is making money. If someone pays for it, they will do it.

Since January 20th I am done with all that. See me after the mid-terms.

    16. The hell with that. Most of the time I turn down the volume for the national anthem when watching sports games. Heard it plenty during the jingoistic NBC Winter Olympics broadcasrs.

    17. Wouldn’t this mean they just put these things during the dead slot. Hardly anyone watches at 3am

    18. F that shit. So disgusting how this corrupt criminal administration wants us to be North Korea

Wait—haven’t all broadcast stations always played the National Anthem to conclude their broadcasting day?
