    1. If federal agents are literally shooting themselves and then it’s being treated like a punchline, that’s a sign of a deeper training and safety problem, not just an „oops.“ Public safety and accountability matter whether it’s ICE, local PD, or anyone with a badge.

    2. There is no such thing as an accidental discharge. A gun doesn’t load itself. It doesn’t pick itself up, and it doesn’t shoot by itself. These are negligent discharges, and someone is absolutely at fault, regardless of if it’s the operator or the gun, or the person in charge of training.

Is it accidental, really? I bet a lot of them are looking for way out of that shit job. I don’t condone such choices, I just wouldn’t be surprised. I mean, the job is shit. The lock-in or pay it all back scenario is nightmarish. And, the way things are going now, they have to see that it is surrender or swing. Fail or flail, right?

Maybe go turncoat and drop sweet inside deets for a no-noose offer. I mean they’re already traitors, why not save their own neck by speed-ratting on their faux bros? Tick tick tick, Benny.

    4. Haveing handled weapons thousands of times, and been around people using them all the time for hunting and shooting I have never had a misfire or seen one. It isn’t an accident, someone fucked up. If you have a discharge you are not following basic firearm training that i even took in middle school. There is a reason why you can put many ICE „arrests“ to Yakity Sax.

It seems like a good portion of the ICE videos that I’ve seen had at least one agent holding his gun up sideways like he’s playing a part in a 90’s gang-banger exploitation drama. I’m not surprised that they’re having accidents.

Well, you know…. Before the Trump surge, it used to be you had to be able to run 1 mile and do 22 push ups and do 22 sid-ups, and stand for 2 hours, and have a high school diploma, and have a BMI index of less than 35% and not have a criminal record….

Now they’re satisfied with „or“. One exasperated recruiter was heard asking: „Fine,… can you just tell me which of these squares is blue?“

    7. That’ll happen when you have to continually drop the hiring standards to fill quotas. Guarantee Noem is more upset at the media for reporting this than she is at her agency not stopping it.

      Absolute clownshow.

    8. These agents were supposed to go through an almost year long training and firearms class that they had to pass to become an ICE officer before all this nonsense started or be fired/removed.

It’s very obvious that not a single person that was hired for the president’s immigration crackdown force went through that training.

This administration completely bypassed the required programs that were in place to prevent this kind of crap.

Sounds like how some people tried to get out of combat duty during the drafts.

What if it’s not only negligence, but more so a rash of self-inflicted gunshots committed to escape from the line of active duty while still drawing a paycheck and benefits? We all know that the job sucks, everyone hates on them and understandably/rightfully so. Wouldn’t surprise me to learn that this is another cover up by Trump and the Epstein Class. Would love to see some investigative journalists dig into this to see what can be uncovered.

Turns out another way to stop bad guys with a gun are bad guys with a gun.

This is no laughing matter. These accidental self shootings among agents can easily spiral into friendly fire incidents where innocent civilians are caught in the cross fire while there’s no accountability or explanation from the agency or administration in the event of any injuries or casualties

It’s very possible given the agency’s severe lack of training far worse than many local and state law enforcement agencies, combined with the often extremely paranoid, easily frightened, and constantly angry state and other severe untreated psychological problems of many of its recruits.

Are they all just a bunch of rednecks sharing half a brain cell?

    15. Is it poor training or like Russians on the frontline who accidentally shoot themselves to spend some time at home?

    16. >All three firearm discharges occurred during quarterly training sessions while agents were holstering their weapons, a routine but **potentially high-risk moment** in firearms handling.

Genuinely impressed with how low newsweek has set the bar for these guys. Are we to believe that the other 99% of ICE agents are the cream of the crop because they can safely navigate the dangers of holstering their own firearm?

    17. I take it you meant literally. I wondered about that when that ICE agent shot that lady while the car-handle agent was in the line of fire.

    18. obese, camo, masked, untrained rambo wannabes with guns that arent educated enough to be law enforcement and too physically unfit to be military but given unrequited power to invade, arrest, kidnap, kill … no way anyone saw this coming. You drink water? Like from the toilet??

You do realize they’re not trained for the task given right?

Less than a basic Police Academy. Less than the armed forces. Less than a mall cop.

      They’re just hired goons.

      Goons are gonna goon.
