    1. At this rate with his disregard for women in his life Trump will give him a pardon soon

Well I think it’s safe to say that someone in America definitely grassed on this scumbag….. And they were right

The man being a deadbeat scumbag doesn’t make mass inhumane detention camps okay though?

    4. What I hate about this is how much it pulls focus from ICE treating human beings like living dogshite.

There’s a section of the population who would instinctively have very different levels of sympathy for an Irishman fighting deportation from the US than they would for someone in the same position trying to stay in Ireland. And for them, it would be worth reflecting on whether they have double standards or slightly hypocritical views.

But that’s a very small section.

Whereas most people I’ve heard discussing this case are pretty much unanimously on board with the idea that ICE & the situation in America is bad, this guy should have been treated better, this guy is also a prick, and it’s quite funny to see a mini media campaign backfire on someone.

What in gods name was he thinking by going public with this in the first place. What a dim, dumb, stupid fuck head.

Has there ever been a public sympathy stunt that’s backfired this badly before?

Edit: The answer is apparently yes, thank you all for refreshing my memory and making me cringe

Wasn’t he involved in the murder of Notorious B.I.G. ? Someone in work heard him bragging about it in a leisureplex back in the late 90’s

The man is a scumbag but the Irish media lapped up his story without any proper background checks of this scumbag. He is exactly the type of person who should be deported.

    10. The story that keeps on giving.

I can’t imagine what this guy was thinking dragging it all through the media. If people had any doubts before that he was a piece of work, they sure as hell don’t now.

Where was this lad 22nd November 1963?

At the rate we’re going surely we’re only a news cycle away from him being implicated in JFKs assination. Or 9/11. Or bringing bats home from his trip to Wuhan.

Would his wife be entitled to a visa to live here when he gets deported?

My radar went up with him when he started complaining towards the end of the interview that he was treated worse as a white, non-Latino detainee… had a feeling more was going to come out on him that I wouldn’t like.

That said, none of this should undermine the necessary criticism and horror at the inhumane conditions in which people are being held, and the overall mission of ICE.

      Wait a minute…

I’m starting to think Séamus might not be that nice of a guy. Just my intuition, I suppose…

    16. He brought it on himself and the entitlement of his current wife is shocking
