You really have to wonder what Albertans really want for their society.
Smith is supposed to be one of the most disliked premier in Canada (I think the first place.goes.to Legault), so why are Albertans consistently voting for the Conservatives?

This is quite amusing to look at in comparison to the Mainstreet federal poll, which is probably part of the same survey. The Federal Liberals and provincial NDP would have similar levels of support between the polls. Perhaps this NDP sample is overly Liberal friendly, or perhaps people are starting to view the parties as the same.
Regardless, pollsters have to stop including the Alberta Liberal Party in their polls. The party effectively doesn’t exist anymore, it would be like including the socreds in a BC poll. It just muddies the waters by having dead parties included.

I’m surprised the Alberta liberals still exist not as irrelevant as the sask libs who got 533 votes 2 years ago
I have to say I’m incredibly skeptical about a poll that has the ALP as high as 9% in some demographics.
They didn’t even get 1% of the vote in the last _three_ elections.

This is insane. While mainstreet often does lean conservative they’re usually only a couple percentage points difference from actual results and not the worst. So I find this insane that a leader like Smith gets so much support anywhere. People should be open to other choices.

This isn’t as big of a „gotcha“ that people seem to think? The Alberta Liberal Party polls at 6% here.
That vote share easily goes to the NDP, so this is much closer than people think.
