Really just a graph of TDS. Canadians have no material reason to think this way, other than vibes.
EDIT: You can note that any of the things people are whining about in the replies havent actually happened yet.

What is wrong with 22% of Canadians?

It’s interesting that the NDP voters have more expected views on Panel 3 (i.e., being the more left-wing party they more see Trump as an antagonist than the Liberal voters at 84% vs. 77%) but not on Panel 1 (i.e., they are more likely to say the U.S is a reliable ally and less likely to say it isn’t than the Liberal voters at 62%/18% vs. 70%/15%).
I’d like to know more about this incongruence and whether it is the polling or the people.

That last question is weird. It’s basically asking whether Trump will be the low point for trade relations. I don’t think you’re getting a full picture without a follow up question of: “do you think trade relations will return to a pre-Trump state?”

At best America is Canada’s bi-polar roommate. Sometimes we’re kind and cook you dinner, and other times we destroyed the apartment, lit our car on fire, and won’t stop screaming about the spiders.

No thank you on the stronger ties to China. I’ve seen how they treat other trade parties who become too reliant on them. Next thing you know, they own a port or two in Canada. I’m probably among the 18%. Trump is old, on his last term, and the republicans are floundering here and there. So I still believe Russia and China are greater threats. If the next president is equally as antagonizing, then maybe I’ll agree with the 58%.

57 percent of Canadians in the poll said the U.S. cannot be depended on in a crisis.(It’s not the US or any nations job to assist another country in crisis)
67 percent say the U.S. “challenges” — as opposed to supports — its allies around the world.(Challenges is vague but it’s good to always challenge opinions, including challenging the US. Cant infer more without a more detailed elaboration of what determined this stat)
69 percent agree the U.S. tends to create problems for other countries rather than solve them (the US has given and gives the most money of any country to other nations around the world. Just because Djt says something stupid doesn’t mean he’s actively causing issues within countries)

Just how the Gordie Howe bridge is in danger of not opening is a reflection of the data collected.
