“Telekom” in Slovakia claims its entire network (covering 99% of population) supports 5G SA by december 2025, but 5G SA access is currently only provided for selected business clients as a data-only service…
wonder how many operators work this way and how many months/years it’s gonna take Telekom to provide this service to everyone… (it’s always “most people don’t really need this stuff so there’s no rush” thinking here, sometimes combined with cartel-style deals where competing companies agree to launch new tech in the same timeframe…)

On a side note, even though ookla doesn’t have a presence in China, the Chinese 5G coverage on the eastern side of Hu line is similar to that of India!

Damn PR went hard on 5g SA. I’m guessing they don’t have much access to wired broadband on the island so they leapfrogged to 5g.
