Go Latvia, that language and „culture“ should not exist in civilized societies!

I feel conflicted. On one hand I understand the need, on the other I’m opposed to blocking access to any form of culture even if it’s the language of the current adversary.

I understand the situation but this is censorship pure and simple.

I absolutely understand why they are doing this in the context
However, I don’t agree with it, yes the Russian population was placed there during the time of the Soviet Union to dilute the population of the country and create a core of people who would always be loyal to Moscow, but these people aren’t those, and long term you need to win them over
Banning their language from broadcast media ain’t the way to do that, I mean regulation to ensure it’s presenting a balanced view thats not controlled by the Kremlin, sure, but banning it outright is daft

One of the many premises used by Russia to be aggressive is the protection of „their“ culture and language.
In the protection of a free society, hard choices need to be made. This is just. They are not outlawing the language, they are removing the broadcasting of it.
I’m Irish and my language was outlawed as a culture suppression process, this is not what is happening here. This is a society defending themselves

Can we also cancel certain middle-eastern cultures?
