  1. > “It was one of those vanity credits, because I didn’t do shit to make that movie. I only acted in it,” Seyfried added. “That’s the thing about vanity credits. I don’t want people to get it twisted. What Margot [Robbie] does is really intensely develop movies from jump. I just jumped in, had a bunch of fun and left. And now, I’m like, they’re sending me on a vacation.”

  2. I really enjoyed the movie! Although Amanda Seyfried seemed like a fish out of water! Throughout the movie, I noticed numerous times were she looked to the side, maybe waiting for director or reading cue card. It was distracting.

Good things do happen to good people.

She didn’t know she was a producer? Isn’t that something you have to actively ask for and/or do things to get the movie made?

Good for her. Does that mean sydney is a producer too?

This is great for her but kinda speaks to how BS those credits are for actors also “directing and producing.”

  5. Maybe it was to give her a bigger salary. Or maybe just gave her the credit so fans would go see it.

  6. Agents do this and people think, „oh how nice of them, they really fought for her.“ The agent is trying to make commission! I’ve heard many phone calls of agents/managers fighting for stuff their client never even asked for, without precedent either. Just for the love of the game and to increase their own earnings from that percentage. They’re laughing themselves all the way to the bank right now.

  7. I can’t entirely believe this though. It was publicized in Deadline and other sites she was a producer as soon as she signed on. Months before filming.

Fun fact: these producer credits are why even movies with no special effects or elaborate special effects can cost +$50m
