It’s all over that stupid Board of Peace rigmarole.

    >White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt put the Vatican on blast after it said it won’t participate in Donald Trump’s so-called “Board of Peace.”

    >The Vatican’s top diplomatic official, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, said on Tuesday that the Vatican believes such crisis situations should be handled by the United Nations, in response to the president’s January invitation for Pope Leo to join his initiative.

    >“I think it’s deeply unfortunate. I don’t think that peace should be partisan or political or controversial,” Leavitt fired back.

    >The White House press secretary insisted that the administration wants those invited to join the “Board of Peace,” which is set to oversee the rebuilding of Gaza, with Trump as its chairman.

    >“The ‘Board of Peace’ is overseeing the reconstruction of a territory that has been plagued with violence, with bloodshed, with poverty for far too long,” Leavitt said. “This president has a very bold and ambitious plan and vision to rebuild and reconstruct Gaza.”

    >She went on to claim it was a legitimate organization with “tens of member countries from around the world.”

It’s a grift. The Pope will not touch it with a ten-foot pole. The very idea that he would is risible on its face.

I’d love for Leo to brush off the bell, book, and candle for her dumb ass. Rofl.

  3. Board of piece, a piece for you and a piece for me. For 5 Billion you get a big piece.
I’m not sure there’s enough Gaza to go around and still leave any for the citizens.

  4. Its quite telling how many American Catholics no longer even pretend to support the Pope. Obviously Catholics is a diverse group but the Catholics i know are extremely MAGA anti immigrant hate the pope. Why do they even still go to church would they not be more aligned with the local evangelical protestant church.

  5. Time to issue a papal bull to excommunicate anyone in the administration! @leo, you listening?

I have an apron with pope Leo on it. I’m not catholic, but love wearing it at family cookouts. I never say anything about religion when wearing it but man does it rile up my catholic family members. The only joke I make “I can only grill fish on Fridays while wearing it”

they don’t care, they’re literally rounding up catholics in the street and putting them in concentration camps

  8. Think how boss it would be if he just excommunicated her.
“You no longer are welcome at the Lord’s table. You are forever forsaken, and ye may wait forever at the gates of heaven, and you shall not enter.”

Yea let’s get the Pope involved in how the Middle East should be run. Sounds like an original peaceful idea!

  10. She’s not Catholic! She’s part of a global cabal that covers up child rape!

    oh…

Trump didn’t get his own Noble Peace Prize so he’ll make his own Peace Board with blackjack and hookers!

Girl, it’s literally the first day of lent, chill out. The idea is to repent, not double down.

  13. Wait, she’s Catholic? Well, Christ on his throne, according to TRUE Christians, she is not a Christian. I remember being 11 or 12 years old, going to my friend’s house (they were Evangelical) and getting to read Chick tracts about how I was going to burn in Hell for eternity because I was Catholic. Yea, fuck religion.

  14. The Vatican really needs to make an example of these fake Catholics and excommunicate them. Her and Vance would be a good start.

  15. _Fun_Employed_ on

Ooh boy, it’d be funny to have a member of Trump’s cabinet excommunicated but it does generally take more than that.

  16. > “I think it’s deeply unfortunate. I don’t think that peace should be partisan or political or controversial,” Leavitt fired back.

You mean that “board of peace” which Trump wants a billion dollars from them to join? It shouldn’t be a financial scam either …

Crazy how Catholic clergy refused to give communion to democratic Catholic politicians over abortion and yet there are so many “Catholics” in this administration and….?

The powers of the day crucified Jesus for his
teachings and looks like conservatives are trying to do it again today, they actually hate his teachings. They think he was too woke.

„Leavitt—an enthusiastic crucifix wearer—was baptized a Catholic and went to a Catholic college, but was married to her 60-year-old husband outside the church after the birth of their child, and posted her attendance at a non-denominational in Easter 2025.“

This isn’t the description of the life of a traditional Catholic. It sounds like she had sex with a much-older man, probably because he was rich, without being married to him, and that he only married her after he knocked her up. She’s got life issues and personal decisions that she should be dealing with instead of doing what she’s doing right now, and wearing a nice piece of jewelry in the shape of cross around her neck isn’t a magical charm that’s going to do it for her.

  20. I know the USA has a dramatically higher religious population than other developed nations, but just for my own curiosity I wish there was a way to see how many Christians there are – broadly defined as people who study Christianity and attempt to follow it – and effectively secular Christians who don’t engage in the religion at all.

Like, Joe from Texas who loves the Jesus and hates the gays while reading his Bible every night and never missing church, and Sunshine from Vermont who preaches with her wife at an LGBT church, are, regardless of opinions on their theology, Christians.

But Karoline, Trump, and millions of Americans might get married in a church and show up on Christmas to keep mom happy (or voters duped) but wouldn’t pick up a Bible or let anything about Christianity guide their decisions in any way, And I think it would be fascinating to see the difference.

Better be heading to confession everyday. The road to hell is paved with hypocrites like her

  22. PotatoAppleFish on

She’s one of those weirdos who think they’re more Catholic than the Pope because of some inscrutable grievance with the Second Vatican Council, isn’t she?

  23. Adventurous_Pay3708 on

As a Catholic I am offended by all Trump Catholics, particularly the converts.

  24. Agreeable-Boat3509 on

The pope needs to start excommunicating all these administration officials who use the catholic faith as cover for their disgusting actions.

  25. Asked who would control the $5 billion, Leavitt insisted it would be the “Board of Peace,” with the president as its chairman, and suggested member nations would get to vote on how the money is used.

    Grifter in Chief.
