The thing to understand is these platforms at their core have to make as much profit as possible. Pushing back against fascism is so far down the list of priorities. If the choice to dissent loses them even $1 they will choose to comply.

Netflix DOES NOT want WB’s TV business. They aren’t buying that. Paramount can still get all the cable channels when Netflix buys WB.
Netflix is not bidding on CNN, that part of Warner is explicitly excluded from their bid. This is a garbage article based on a bullshit premise.
ETA: I don’t want paramount and the Ellison’s getting anything but making up bullshit doesn’t help.

Does he believe that switching CNN to pro-MAGA propaganda will magically make everyone like him? CNN viewers are not like Fox News viewers. They consume media outside the bubble and aren’t members of a cult who are just going to blindly believe every word that is spoken to them. Most will probably just switch to a different platform.
It is funny that the networks think their profits will continue once he’s in charge.

CBS is basically FOX news now because the billionaire owners, Larry Ellison and his son, just see owning the news as a way to wield power. It’s the same reason Musk bought Twitter, and Bezos bought the Washington Post. If you want to know whats going on, you should read independent, non billionaire owned news like the Guardian or AP

Nobody should be watching mainstream news to begin with. They dont make profit ny informing. They make profit by inciting.

I’m seeing a lot of comments about political ideology, but not any comments about what actually took place in this circumstance. The FCC has had a long-standing law that dates way before Donald Trump where if you put up a candidate that’s running for office, you have to put up a candidate from the other side at equal time. This rule does not apply to YouTube. It applies to airwaves. It is technically section 315 of the communications act. Unfortunately, you have to blame Franklin D Roosevelt.

Colbert is a racist cause he skirted the FCC’s “Equal Time” clause that states if you give one candidate the opportunity to use a broadcaster, that broadcaster must give equal time to their opponents, one of which is Rep. Jasmine Crockett.
When CBS legal advised Colbert of this, he ran to YT, & they both spun this lie about Trump
