Das hört man oft "Das ist so gemein, dass er wahrscheinlich noch sein Kommuniongeld hat"also in meinem Fall stimmt das wohl 😂 Mama ist vor etwas mehr als einem Jahr gestorben und Papa hat kürzlich ein paar Dinge durchgesehen und ist auf diese Kiste mit meinem Kommuniongeld darin gestoßen. Was für eine wahre Fundgrube, Münzen aus Irland und England, alte Pfundnoten und eine 2-Dollar-Note aus Kanada und eine Münze, die stark abgenutzt ist, aber aus dem Jahr 1875 zu stammen scheint, wenn ich sie richtig lesen kann. Die Pfundnote selbst ist schon ziemlich ramponiert und sie muss irgendwann beschlossen haben, sie mit Klebeband abzudecken, damit sie nicht noch schlimmer wird 😂 Was für ein tolles Andenken, das ich eines Tages an meine eigenen Kinder weitergeben werde. Ich liebe auch die alte Phillishave-Box, in der sie aufbewahrt wurden.

I too come form old money
I miss our old currency, it was a lot more attractive than the bland Euro designs.
Kept a pre-euro £1, £5 and £10 (wasn’t flush enough to keep a £20)
Had a bag of pre-euro coins too, fucked if I can find the bloody thing though.
Have a fair share of the old punts for future generation a 50 pound note is missing if anyone is feeling generous 😜
Old Irish money was beautiful. We gave it up so easily for disgusting euros
