Not convinced. Recently seen more Americans if parts of France than ever before.

As a Brit currently living in the US, we’ve always had our pick of flights back to the UK or Europe. We’re heading to NI and the ROI next month and were shocked at the lack of flights available vs 2025. We also prefer UK or EU carriers, but had to book a US based airline because there were either no other options at all or they were truly awful flights. The difference between the booking experience for the trip we took to London just four months ago and this one is palpable and makes sense in light of the changes stated in this article.

Honestly, I don’t believe this but anywhere without Americans being assholes on vacation sounds a hell of a lot more fun.

  4. >While Chinese arrivals to Europe are set to rise by 28% compared to 2025 and Indian arrivals to climb by 9%, traveller numbers from the Americas were seen growing by just 4.2%.

    I would not call a projected increase of 4,2% as „losing hold“…

Now how about tourists from foreign countries visiting the US? Pretty sure there’s a bigger drop to see there.

“traveller numbers from the Americas were seen growing by just 4.2%.”

So there’s more US tourists in Europe than in previous years, and this means there’s some kind of dramatic shift?

I hope people read beyond the the headline…

The Chinese and Indians put together are 34% of the entire world population. It’s a good market.

This will be the first year in 30, we don’t travel to Europe for a month.

Frankly, I simply don’t want to become a target.

And our administration has made me feel like one.

I also am not traveling within the US as we normally do either.

I’m a Caucasian US veteran, if that matters.

  10. What’s wrong with 4.2% growth? I would imagine the corresponding drop in European tourism to the US is much higher.
