Every CPC MP from AB and every UCP MLA needs to go on the record to answer unequivocally if they signed the separation petition
Then perhaps he should tell his party, his cheerleaders and his followers to smarten up and stop pushing separation/blocking the government at every turn.
It really seems like they got a new script-writer for PP. I haven’t actually seen him say any of these things myself, so I don’t know if he is giving a good performance or not.
I was beginning to think Pierre was more ideologically captured then Trudeau was , but now im starting to think their just two peas in a pod .
Losing Alberta would be the death knell for federal conservatives as we know it. 63% of the province voted Conservative in the last election, yielding them something like 18% of their total voters.
Even higher in the previous election if I remember correctly.
We tend to vote leaders and parties *out* rather than vote them in, so I would hesitate to say we’d *never* elect another Conservative government. But they’d have to basically re-invent themselves if they ever wanted to hold power once they lose their base in Alberta.
