I’ve been on Reddit since 2010, and also have a heavy background in virtual community building going back to the late 90s. I’ve founded several large communities from scratch. One of them is over 25 years old, with 25,000 professional members in over 150 countries.
I use Reddit for nearly every kind of information I’m looking for. Health, finance, stocks, cooking, products, music, news, and world and local events. And I contribute what I can in areas where I can give some input.
My Google search for the last few years has been, „what is the _______ Reddit.“
I live a good life. I’m successful. I have Reddit to credit for a lot of that.
It’s the only platform I know of in the world that has the kinds of conversations and information by real people about real things.
Everyone is a bot except you.

Honestly, I have a hard time seeing anyone read this and think „Oh cool, Reddit is, unlike absolutely everything else on the internet, completely free from bots“. Feels like denying it is worse than saying it is a thing and they work to improve on that area (which could theoretically be true).

That’s why any searches on Reddit pulls up 12 year old posts and any time you say bots are patrolling you get blasted. Suddenly random comments appear with 6 year old accounts.
