That’s rough. Aside from Singapore and Brunei which both have unique cases. It is not a very economically productive region. I’m also from a developing country, but the GDP per Capita of these countries is more comparable to some of the poorest states in my country.

Wow, I knew that Singapore had a fairly high GDP per capita, but I’m surprised by Brunei! Any explanations for this?

At this point it’s tough to find a more useless stat than GDP.

After wwii, the only countries that can move from developing to developed status are from east Asia or with population dominated by East Asians
