Taco Bell now has locations in Sweden (at least in Stockholm). I wish the maps also showed whether there is more than one location/restaurants in more than one city. I didn’t know Popeyes had restaurants in France for example.

They have Wendys in Ireland.

Love how Domino’s and Pizza Hut left Italy. With how good & cheap pizzas are in Italy, they stood no chance I suppose.

They used to have Wendy’s in Hungary.

I’m pretty sure there is no Domino’s in Hungary.
There is a pizzeria with the name Domino, in one town, but it has nothing to do with Domino’s.

Greek here:
We don’t have Subway.
As for Wendy’s:
Wendy’s were present there from 1994-2002, and are still fondly remembered.
They were set on extending their presence but the franchisee’s father had signed a contract to supply a main competitor (Goody’s) with meats (said company was Nikas).
As a result, it was deemed redundant to run Wendy’s in Greece and all of their stores unfortunately shut down.
A few years later, Wendy’s famously lost the trademark to ‚Wendy’s‘ in EU, permanently damaging their ambitions of expanding there.
Regarding Pizza Hut:
Greece was actually one of the first European markets for them, and Pizza Hut didn’t miss out on investing significantly there at the start.
Their presence was deemed a success from their arrival (1989 if my memory serves me, two years before McDonald’s entering our market) up to 2010, when the financial crisis struck.
Consequently, and after experiencing a very harsh decade, they left the Greek Market in 2020, only to return to it in 2024 with slow, but very encouraging signs so far.
On a personal note, I fondly remember myself eating one of their egregious pizzas at their restaurant at 4 years old, in 2007.
Taco Bell only arrived there last autumn and are already the talk of the town. They run out of ingredients due to extremely large demand. It better lasts. Burger King opened their first shop (outside of Athens Airport) only two weeks ago!
Domino’s have been a long-standing presence, there since 1996 with no signs of slowing down. It’s my brother and my grandma’s favourite pizza chain too.
McDonald’s used to struggle there up until the last seven years. They have become massively popular again, thanks to a large part to their app and their plethora of offers, and are expanding. We’re also a country where the ice-cream maker works full time. McDonald’s in Greece are always PACKED by ordinary people (except for their store at Syntagma Avenue, which is also packed, but by tourists). I’ve been eating there ever since I was two years old, with a few breaks here and there. Last time I had McDonald’s was in 2024, although I did get to buy an amazing milkshake from them last summer.
We have become an attractive market for American fast food chains it seems. Souvlaki’s hegemony might be getting over as it’s getting really expensive lately.

For Norway, 99% of these will only have a location in Oslo, and maybeee Bergen/Trondheim, but probably not. Suspect the same to be the case for a fair few other countries aswell, but Norway brings low profit-margins with high transport-costs and strict guidelines for food-quality.

Domino’s has actually left the Czech market sometime last year, honestly valid because it could not hold a match to domestic pizza places
