Aufgrund der politischen Ausrichtung von Reddit wird Obama hier gefeiert, als hätte er es verdient, zu den größten Präsidenten der Geschichte zu gehören. Allerdings ist mir aufgefallen, dass es diesen seltsamen Vorstoß gibt, Bushs Image wiederherzustellen. Die Erzählung, dass Bush kein großartiger Präsident war, es aber cool wäre, mit ihm ein Bier zu trinken. Oder dass er irgendwie nicht für all die schrecklichen Dinge verantwortlich ist, die passiert sind, weil er von den Menschen, mit denen er sich umgab, in die Irre geführt wurde
Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass ich dafür abgelehnt würde, dass er ein Kriegsverbrecher war, der als einer der schlechtesten Präsidenten der Geschichte in die Geschichte eingehen sollte
Es scheint, dass die Leute die schrecklichen, illegalen Dinge vergessen, die diese beiden getan haben. Die Aushöhlung unserer verfassungsmäßigen Rechte, die eklatante Missachtung des menschlichen Lebens, die illegalen Kriege/Konflikte, die sie führten, und all die anderen Probleme, die sie verursachten. Viele der Probleme, mit denen die USA und die Welt heute konfrontiert sind, lassen sich direkt auf diese beiden zurückführen
Sie beugten sich dem militärisch-industriellen Komplex, ermöglichten die Schaffung eines illegalen Überwachungsstaates, verfolgten rücksichtslos Whistleblower, die versuchten, die Wahrheit zu verbreiten, und ermordeten unschuldige Zivilisten im Ausland in erstaunlicher Geschwindigkeit. Vergiss niemals, vergib niemals

SS: Never forget what these two men are responsible for. The modern surveillance state, the mess of a situation in the Middle East, the crimes they committed and covered up, torture, and everything else. Bush crawled so Obama could walk. The conspiracies they committed have vast and long lasting consequences and are responsible for the problems we have today
well, I think W was wrong about a lot but I do believe he believed he was doing what was best for the country unlike some other presidents…
I think Obama didn’t fight hard enough on some issues like healthcare. the Republicans were gonna bitch and moan about anything you proposed, so putting out a gop backed and conceived plan (which Obamacare was) was dumb. He should have pushed for universal. I actually believe he had the political capital at the start as well as the average voters support due to the Republicans destroying the economy.
He was also just too presidential for our times. he just allowed the right to slander him with nonsense for 8 years which created this negative aura about him from the right. Ask any Republican if they liked Obama, they will yell no! ask why and you may get some wishy washy nonsense about drone strikes… assuming they aren’t openly racist enough to say the truth. They have no real answers on why he was this terrible president. They may throw out conspiratorial hypotheticals that he never did but trump sure has… which is the most baffling.

Yeah, the problem is further back. Reagan comes to mind. But still kind of feel like the „ahhhh we’ve always sucked“, is just sort of letting the current guy engaged in a giant coverup in front of our faces saying it’s a hoax or we should just move on.

One of my favorites recently, regarding Obama, is with Redditors talking about Trump’s detainment camps for Children at the border. Not realizing and completely ignorant to the fact those fenced in cells were created by Obama. It’s amazing how people pick and choose which things they want to believe in and they normally only believe the things that confirm their own biases, even if they’re incorrect.
