Looks mostly to be for Chinas benefit, streamlining the flow of critical minerals and nice PR but they do import a variety of agricultural goods from Africa that will get benefits, especially coffee and cocoa whose demand increased sharply in recent years.

Africa’s population will expand by 1 billion people over the next 20 years. Africa has the fastest growing middle class. Africa will continue booming for decades. China is going to lock in market access for the rest of the century. I don’t even think the US or EU is playing the game at all.
