      What’s actually kind of funny here is that Bill Maher was actually Trump’s strongest ally for creating gateways from the left over to the right.

      Purely through his political talking points alone.

      Of all the ´comedians´ on tv it is Bill Maher, who said that Trump was charming and understanding during their dinner, of all those, it is Maher who should know that Hitler could be charming too otherwise he would have never reached his position as Führer.

      So yes Bill Maher made an commercial `bend the knee` to a would be dictator like all those billionaires did too. Hope Bill is in contact with his conscience again forthwith. And thus this break up from Trump can be seen as a welcoming Valentine Gift.

      Bill Maher is not POTUS. Unfortunately DJT is. Which past POTUS would take to social media to complain about a television show? I believe the answer is none. Come on DJT, concentrate on your job, not person grievances!

      Maher had an extremely rare opportunity: a face-to-face with POTUS on roughly equal footing wherein he had the opportunity to air his grievances and try to influence the famously easily influenced Trump. He pissed that away by making an appeal to emotion.

      An appeal to emotion with an adjudicated rapist. With a guy that has consistently shielded pedophiles. Bragged about barging into changing rooms filled with minors. Who routinely denigrates and divides his fellow Americans. That guy. That guy was the one Maher tried to appeal to on an emotional level.

      Say whatever you like in defense of Maher’s subsequent milquetoast criticism of Trump: he was manifestly the wrong man for that moment in history. He damaged his own credibility to try and Both Sides for a guy who thinks it’s perfectly kosher to brutalize people exercising their rights. He got fucking *played* and this was obvious to everyone except him, apparently.

      Maybe Trump taking shots at him will help him realize that. But probably not.

      Because it’s Trump, and denials and accusations are admissions, or at least projection, I am guessing Maher dumped Trump. Like Epstein did.

      I started watching him in high school a couple years before Trump’s first term. Not sure if I was just a stupid kid and he’s always been like that, but I used to like Maher quite a bit and usually agreed with him. But man… the pandemic ***broke*** that dude. By the time I finally stopped watching him a few years ago I was calling his show “Boomer Hour,” and would describe it to people as “my weekly dose of a boomer telling me everything is my fault.”
