Ich bin portugiesischer Staatsbürger mit asiatischer Abstammung und lebe im Vereinigten Königreich. Ich bin gestern nach Helsinki geflogen und habe meinen portugiesischen Personalausweis vorgelegt. Der Grenzschutz bestand darauf, dass ich meinen Reisepass benötige, da ich aus dem Vereinigten Königreich geflogen bin, das nicht zum Schengen-Raum gehört. Dann holte ich meinen Reisepass hervor, den ich tief in meinem Rucksack verstaute. Er ließ mich schließlich in dieses schöne Land ein, allerdings nicht ohne mich gründlich mit meinem Hintergrund und meinen Zukunftsplänen auseinanderzusetzen.
Ich ging ins Hotel, recherchierte und die Website der Europäischen Kommission scheint darauf hinzuweisen, dass ich mit meinem Personalausweis aus jedem Teil der Welt, sogar vom Planeten Mars, in den Schengen-Raum einreisen kann.
1) Habe ich das Gesetz falsch verstanden?
2) Ist er einfach unwissend?
3)Lag er das Vereinigte Königreich hassen, weil es die EU verlassen hat, deren Opfer ich bin?
4) Könnte er rassistisch gewesen sein? Das habe ich nur gesagt, weil er versucht hat, mein Passfoto zu zerkratzen, um sicherzustellen, dass ich es nicht gefälscht habe.

You got the law wrong.
Travelers to and from the UK need to show passport, simple as that

Besides the fact that none of us can guess a border guard’s supposed motives, your questioning this is really odd and weird.
