    >It was not the first time Trump gave an overtly political speech in a military setting, breaking the tradition of keeping the armed forces separate from partisan politics. He told assembled generals and admirals in September the country was “under invasion from within,” and his visit here in June to mark the Army’s 250th birthday featured a booth selling partisan paraphernalia.

    >On Friday, Trump shared the stage with Michael Whatley, a former Republican National Committee chairman now running for Senate who holds no government position. Trump used the platform to boost Whatley, attack Democrats and repeat previously announced military spending plans.

    >Defense Department policy prohibits partisan political activity by active-duty service members. “The Army as an institution must be nonpartisan and appear so too,” the Army field manual reads. “Nonpartisanship assures the public that our Army will always serve the Constitution and our people loyally and responsively.”

This would have been career ending for any other commander in chief

Do they know he’s trying to cancel mail in voting, the way a great many of them vote?

  3. MAGA doesn’t give a sh*t about tradition despite all the need to return to “great again”.

    Disgusting

Makes sense. No one will go to his rallies anymore so he needs an audience where attendance is mandatory.

Man this guy does so much illegal shit. Ever heard of the Hatch Act?

  6. PureSpeckulation on

It’s the only way he can get a captive audience nowadays…they have to be literally ordered to sit through it

Crazy when you know you can’t draw a crowd for a rally so you go to military base and force them to come

Under invasion from within? Well certainly that kind of rhetoric won’t cause anyone to do anything crazy

Like a rule, policy or historical president would be followed by the dear leader

If you pay attention to his track record on Veteran Affairs, he is by far the worst option for service members. The GOP just hate anyone in active service or a veteran.

It’s almost like there’s no aforementioned intelligence in the military? Since they tend to always lean Republican, who actually hate them for serving their country?

It’s very contrast to Nordic countries that are very Liberal and their militaries are supported by the parties.

  11. He can’t draw a crowd so he forced his employees to listen to his bullshit rants instead.

Yet another day of saying “imagine the meltdown if Biden had said this”

So now the soldiers should see that as an order?

That’s completely and totally against the law.

I actually didn’t know CIC could go around campaigning to the military for their party.

He spend most of the speech talking about voting republican, and how democrats wouldn’t have given them money and will rename their base.

    Quite disgusting.

  15. Great, now it’s a direct order from their commander in chief and with all their voter data they can remove dissidents for not voting how they were told.

The military is full of fucking idiots so they probably will.

Republicans „help“ by giving money to contractors to build more machines of death.

Democrats help by passing protections and budgets for veterans and services for military members.

How the GOP convinced people they were the party that helps the military is beyond me…

Just remember what Kelley said, „You can refuse an illegal order.“

He hates everyone in that room and it’s apparent. I bet this election the greatest percentage of military voters go democrat than ever before. By a very large margin.

Sleepy Don woke up to try and inspire his fracturing base. Mid terms are gonna show what a real mandate looks like.

  21. They don’t have to follow illegal orders. Lets hope they are smart enough

Anyone here who can report on the mood/vibe of the soldiers during these forced infomercials?

The irony here is that Bragg houses some of the best, most elite soldiers in the world. Men and women sworn to obey the orders of the President of the United States. Skilled professionals who know what it means to make an oath, and keep it. Being enjoined to choose and support a singular party line, by an inveterate liar, draft evader, malaigner of legitmate military officers, former POWs, and so on. Not to mention the Jan 6th, Epstein controversies. Not to mention ‚impeachments‘ or ‚convictions‘. So long as there’s a flag and uniformed ‚red berets‘, civilian red caps to pass around and stand in front of, such that the illusion persists. The travesty here is that he stood on that ’sacred ground‘ and made the ‚exortation‘. The tragedy is that an oath of fealty is made under the presumption that the one to whom the loyalty pledged, be worthy of it. To my view, in this grave instance, such is not the case.

Dude we *know* we’re under invasion from within.

There’s a group of compromised pedophile elites running our government. Trump, YOU’RE the problem.
