Will this also make them give existing customers the same deals as new customers? So tired of cancelling every year, sending the gear back only to get the same gear again. Totally worth it to get half price for the year though but wish they would just give me the same offer when the contract ends.

Unrelated but I just ordered Sky tv + Netflix + WiFi for €44 per month for one year. I actually think that’s quite a good deal.
I already paid for Netflix and needed WiFi so was happy to throw in the Sky TV too.

I have got caught for this so many times
When you consider switching typically gives you 50% off for a year, you can get massively stung if you forget the contract change date.

They have some insanely hostile cancellations policies. They won’t let you give notice early etc, which is ridiculous. If I want to give 45 days notice instead of 30 I should be allowed.

There needs to be some legislation passed on these „New Customer offers“. Should be fixed prices for all.

What chance has average Joe Soap have of not being screwed by Sky when they actually try to fuck around with and lie to the actual communications regulator.
They 100% want to make sure people don’t know when their one year “half price” contract is up so they can automatically rejoin & lock them into a full year of double price contract. It’s their entire business model for many years.
