As long as they agree to amend the portion of the BIA that lets a Minister exempt anything except the Criminal Code I’m sure it’ll get through quickly.
Which, I wonder why the LPC is trying to do this *again*. They already tried to pass legislation with similar wording in C-5 and when it was pointed out you probably shouldn’t be able to circumvent things like the Canada Labour Code the LPC quickly agreed and allowed those to be amended into C-5… so why try again?

I think the article is being misleading, I don’t think this vote is a confidence motion vote, the budget confidence vote happened back in Fall 2025. I will try to get more clarification on this.
