      The Liberals were about as popular as anthrax during that byelection. You could make a case that Freeland did the Conservative candidate a favour with her remarks.

      Ignorance is a pretty shitty defence here.

      It’s common sense that you shouldn’t be talking about supporting a party candidate in an election at an official Government of Canada press conference.

      Violated them rather inconsequentially, though. And didn’t avoid paying the $900. And has also resigned as an MP.

      I mean, good for justice for finally reaching a conclusion, but the ramifications here don’t appear to justify the amount of time that has passed. Couldn’t they all have just agreed to this ages ago, and the result would have been the same? Why was the watchdog still investigating this now? Or is the article just delivered to us via carrier pigeon?

      Honestly? I couldnt care less. Far greater things to think about these days Not only did she pay the fine but she’s since resigned.
      Coming from Alberta this is nothing compared to the grift the UCP employs during elections.
